Tschudin Chocolates is located on the corner of Main and Court Streets, Middletown, CT 06457, between AT&T & Amici Grill, in the same block as the Police Station and First & Last Tavern. We are generally open from 11am to 9pm weekdays, until 10pm Friday and Saturday nights, and closing a little earlier on Sundays, at 8pm. On rare occasions we close early due to weather conditions or, in some cases, special events, so feel free to call ahead.
Middletown, known as the Wesleyan University town, is rapidly becoming one of Connecticut's top restaurant, bar-hopping and family fun destinations, with nearly three dozen restaurants, bars, jazz clubs and kids activities, all located within easy walking distance of one another. Also within easy walking distance are a number of fabulous hotel and wedding venues, including the Inn at Middletown, a former armory.
Our hand-made chocolates are made with only the finest ingredients including, whenever practicable, local honeys and herbs. We proudly participate in the Connecticut Department of Agriculture's Farm-to-Chef program to support local farmers.
In addition to chocolates we also offer a variety of confections and made-to-order tarts, exotic cakes and aromatic breads such as saffronbrod. But for baked goods, except on nice summer weekends, please call ahead; we want your order to be fresh!
We have also branched out into sculptures, so we can produce centerpieces and table favors for just about any special event, including weddings, birthdays, and new product launches.
So, come join us for a chocolate pick-me up, an after-dinner dessert, wedding and shower favors or that perfect gift box of fresh cream chocolates guaranteed to earn you at least a "thank you," if not a hug and a kiss!
In good weather, we have an outdoor cafe-like atmosphere, so you can even enjoy our unique fresh-brewed coffee or custom-made hot chocolate, while enveloped in fresh chocolate aroma.
Our chocolates are one-of-a kind, many infused with exotic flavors, and we enjoy making new chocolates, candy bars and even barks that you think would be fun, too!
Last, but not least, we are kid friendly, and even have a "kids entrance," leading back to the production area. Kids of all ages love our two-hour tour and tasting packages (by reservation only) which can be converted into birthday parties - and, since we are BYOB, should you so choose, truffles and bubbles can be part of the fun, too!
